Conservatories or sunrooms provide extra space and create a different space in your home with more light.

Although conservatories can often be exempt from needing planning permission, this is only through a general national permission, granted by the General Permitted Development Order, which can sometimes be difficult to understand.

This general permission is subject to a list of conditions and the right to build conservatories without a planning application can sometime be removed by conditions of previous planning applications.
