Further to loft conversions, adding dormers can maximise rooms in the roof space. Dormers can often be automatically granted planning permission through a general national permission  granted by the General Permitted Development Order. Dormers must not exceed volume limits set out in national regulations.

3D CAD technology can be used to accurately calculate the volume of a proposed dormer, we have knowledge of the parameters to work within and can design a dormer in order to remain within the limitations.
