Loft & garage conversions

Converting space that you already have in your home can be an effective use of space to create new rooms. Loft and Garage conversions can often be exempt from needing planning permission, this is only through a general national permission granted by the General Permitted Development Order.

This general permission is subject to a list of condition and the right to convert a garage or loft space without a planning application can sometimes be removed by conditions of previous planning applications.

We can confirm whether planning permission would be needed and, if it is, can draw plans  for you. Plans drawn up to scale can also help to plan the internal use of a space including where to put furniture.
